From a series of of drawings produced for an art show. Yang Ren is high-raning official within the Shang Dynasty, as featured in the classic Chinese story Investiture of the Gods. When he angered the Emperor, it was ordered the his eyes be gouged out. A wise man would later return Yang Ren's eyes in the form of a pair of hands with eyes on the palms.

I became aware of Yang Ren after seeing a mask of him at the Field Museum in Chicago. I knew immediately, that I had to draw him!
