Everybody else is watching Strip Search too, right? If not, do it! I love this show. Not only is my Periscope Studio lady-bro Erika Moen on it, but it's just plain wonderful seeing fellow cartoonists getting some limelight.

After watching a few episodes, I knew I wanted to draw some sort pf Strip Search fan art, although I wasn't sure in what form initially. Individual portraits? Just a couple favorite contestants? Fresh off watching Episode 8, I knew I wanted to draw Erika and Amy fist bumping, so that was the idea that sparked the drawing below. Even though they can be challenging to figure out compositionally, I love fighting game poster style character collages, and it seemed like the perfect template for a drawing that required fourteen people. Many Photoshop layers and multiple recomposings later, we have this! Hopefully, nobody is offended by the way I drew them.

Here's a recent commission featuring Spike, Elektra, and Vincent from the Cowboy Bebop movie! I tried a different process for this one, using brown, red, and yellow watercolors instead of black ink to do the linework. Color was applied afterwards with Photoshop. Below  is also what the original piece looks like, sans color treatment.

Here's my piece for the upcoming Women of Wonder Day! Women of Wonder Day, as part of National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, auctions donated artwork to benefit charities including the Bradley Angle house here in Portland.

Sometimes you draw characters in current pop culture, and sometimes you just gotta draw some Beverly Crusher fan art. Because she is awesome and pretty, and I love Star Trek TNG.

Three posts within days of each other? I'm trying to catch up on the art I've been meaning to post for ages :)

Here's my contribution to Hero Initiative's Fantastic Four 600 Project! The custom covers by various artists will eventually be auctioned off for the charity. The character drawn here is Kal Blackbane – The Midnight Blade. When I saw him in the interior art, I knew I HAD to draw him.
